The
main criticism was that although our older female secondary audience
may recognise the intertextual references to the older classic films
e.g. Pillow Talk and Annie Hall this may not be so apparent to our
main target audience who were teenage girls who would only recognise
two intertextual references which were Britney Spears hit me baby one
more time and Roy Lichtenstein pop art. So instead of changing the
intertextual references we decided to spend more time on researching and
planning the mise en scene of our music video to portray the concept
of love and relationships across different decades.
